[Letter from Horatio Alger, Jr. to Rev. S.A. Barnard, Lansing, Michigan]. 1882 Dec. 24.

In his letter from South Natick, Horatio thanks Rev. Barnard for his letter commending the Argosy, the periodical for which he is writing serials. He promises to send a volume of his poems to Barnard. He writes that he passes the Christmas holiday in his father's old house with his sister and brother-in-law.
